If you want to find a good, clean race on iRacing there is virtually always something to do. Lap 1, turn 1 in most public server racing is a nightmare (it can be in iRacing too, but the safety rating system at least encourages caution). You'll have half of the field unable to or unwilling to pass cleanly or take a turn two wide without wrecking. I love AC, but the racing on the public servers can be pretty terrible. The actual racing is top quality and generally quite clean because of their licensing system. They are generally responsive to the community and the schedules for the varying series are decided in part by the racers themselves. The developers are constantly adding features and optimizations to the service. Yes, the cars and tracks are expensive, but you get high quality content for what you pay.Īll the cars in the game are licensed and they get their data from the teams that race the cars. The subscription fees are quite reasonable when you wait for their discounted yearly rates. Iracing provides a great service in pretty much every area. If it weren't for AC, I wouldn't be on iRacing and I still love the work the Kunos puts out.
The only actual racing sim out there, and i cant even play it anymore.If you've never played it, then you don't really get to call it a ripoff. Ive done all this way before, and over and over. Then it either crashes, stays stuck forever, or says somthing about retiring from the race. While in Steam, go to AC's game Properties, and Local Files, and try 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' as last thing I can think to try. Start with '60' for both desktop & in-game. Try seeing if your refresh rate is the same, too. Might need a restart of AC.ĭid you try going to in-game Options > General, then check (or uncheck, quit, restart, & check box again) the box "Ignore Windows Display Scaling Settings"? Of course, I always make sure my res of desktop is same as in-game, and keep "GPU-Accelerated Game Launcher" ON (also under Options>General). Try changing it to one res, then back to another preferred resolution (desktop preferred). Then, change in-game resolution or make sure it matches your desktop res. Many have mentioned deleting the AC folder in your user documents folder. Clicking 'Play' via Steam will activate AC's launcher. May sometimes notice screen flicker or transition after clicking 'Start' from track/car selection screen. Also mentioned, is the fact that Assetto Corsa's launcher program is seperate from the app used to start/load a race of any type. What Crisp is sayin' is that you should make sure any antivirus software isn't blocking or interfering with Assetto Corsa. Check AV software hasn't blocked, deleted or quarantined asc.exe this is the main game and even if its deleted, the game still loads into menu because its a seperate executable.
